Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (340g) chocolate chips
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a ball. Place dough balls on the baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
